There are many opportunities for COVID-19 vaccination in Simcoe Muskoka. See clinic location options below.

Barrie Community Clinic  

This clinic is operated by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit.

Location:  29 Sperling Drive, Barrie

Starting Monday, December 4th 

  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 9 am to 4 pm

This clinic will close permanently on December 21st, 2023.

Appointments are encouraged, and walk-ins are welcome upon availability.

To book an appointment use the COVID-19 vaccination portal or the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre (1-833-943-3900). Please note appointments are only made available one month in advance so please check back frequently if there are no appointments available for your preferred date.

Most pharmacies book appointments ahead of time and some allow walk-ins. Check with the pharmacy before you go.

  • Complete the online COVID-19 self-assessment before arriving at the clinic. Do not attend a vaccine clinic if you are not feeling well.
  • All persons attending a Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit community, office or school-based vaccination clinic will be required to wear a mask. Masks will be made available at the entrance to all our clinics.
  • Bring the following items with you:
    • Health card or other form of identification (e.g., driver’s license, passport etc)
    • Out of province vaccine records (if applicable)
    • Consent form (if applicable):
      • Under the age of 12 attending without a parent/guardian
      • Over the age of 12 and unable to provide informed consent
    • Assistive devices as needed (e.g., wheelchair, cane, glasses, hearing aid, etc.)
  • Avoid using any scented products (e.g., perfume, scented deodorant, body spray, etc.) on the day of your appointment. Our clinics strive to be scent neutral for those individuals who are scent sensitive.
  • Take any regular medication and eat meals as usual.
  • Bring a list of any medications you are taking.
  • Make sure to wear a loose-fitting shirt that allows easy access to your upper arm.

For anyone coming to a community clinic that would benefit from accommodations or additional supports to ensure their clinic experience is a positive one, call Health Connection at 705-721-7520 (1-877-721-7520) ext. 5997, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to speak to one of our staff or arrive 15 minutes before the appointment and see the on-site clinic coordinator for assistance.

For those who are homebound and unable to leave home, check with all health care providers who visit your home and ask if they can administer your COVID-19 vaccine. If you don’t have any in-home care providers or they are unable to provide vaccination, the health unit may be able to arrange in-home vaccination. Call Health Connection at 705-721-7520 or 1-877-721-7520, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
