Being a safe and responsible driver takes a combination of knowledge, skill and attitude.
Many aspects have to be taken into consideration when talking about safety on our road ways. Motor vehicle collisions are the cause of a significant number of deaths in Ontario. In 2020 there were 535 people killed on Ontario roads.
The "Big 4" contributing factors:
- Speeding
- Impairment
- Distraction
- Not wearing a seat belt
Not only do we have to be concerned with drivers of motor vehicles, we also have to consider the safety of cyclists and pedestrians.
