Immunization

General immunization information

Looking for information about vaccines? You’ve come to the right place!  Immunization is one of the easiest ways you can protect your health.  Here you will find reliable information on Ontario’s immunization programs as well as the services we offer.  We provide information and resources you can trust, and are committed to help keeping you and your family healthy.

Remember, childhood vaccination does not provide lifelong immunity to all diseases.  It’s just as important for adults to keep their immunizations up to date as well.

If you are looking for your child's immunization record and they are 16 years of age and older, due to the Health Care Consent Act, we cannot release this information. Parent's requesting immunization information for a student who is 16 years of age and older, the parent is to have the student contact the health unit to request that information directly.  To assist with this:

  • The student can call our toll free number 877-721-7520 ext. 8827
  • The student can leave a message on our Records Request line 24/7 at ext. 8827 option #3.
  • The student can email Health Connection and request to have their record released to their parent or sent to them directly. Currently we are not able to email personal health information, so unfortunately the record cannot be emailed to them.
