Mass gatherings

Where bylaws exist to support the operation and management of special events, organizers routinely provide operational plans to the municipality in order to obtain an allowance permit. This permit requires the approval from a number of agencies including the health unit. The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, Environmental Health Department reviews operational plans to ensure compliance with public health legislation.

The following requirements and recommendations are provided by the health unit for consideration of inclusion within an operational plan:
