Sexually Transmitted and Blood-borne Infections

Sexually Transmitted and Blood-borne Infections (STBBIs) can spread through sex or contact with infected blood (like needle stick injury or open cuts in the skin).  Some, like syphilis and chlamydia are on the rise in Canada.  The tricky part? Most STBBIs don’t show symptoms – so you might not even know you have one.  The best move? Learn the facts, protect yourself, and get tested if you’re sexually active.

For more information, check out Sexual Health Ontario.

Common STBBIs:

Herpes
HIV
Yeast
