BIRTH CONTROL - LET’S TALK OPTIONS

Our sexual health clinic offers different birth control methods and one-on-one support to help you find what works best for you. Options include the pill, patch, ring, injection (Depo-Provera), and emergency contraception.  If money is tight, we’ve got you, there are low-cost options available.

Condoms? Always free at our clinics, and they are the only birth control that also protect against STBBIs.

What to Expect at Your Visit

You’ll chat privately with a nurse who’ll go over everything: how it works, pros and cons, myths and realities, and how to use it right.  The nurse can also refer you to community clinics for IUD insertions or removals if that’s something you’re interested in.

Some questions to be ready for…

Have you had sex?
Are you currently having sex or planning on it?
When was the last time you had sex?
Do you use condoms?

Can you tell me a bit about your partner?

Don’t stress, it’s totally confidential. We don’t share your information with anyone (your family doctor/nurse practitioner, friends or family members) …even if they ask!

Ready to get started? Book your appointment [SHC button here] or contact the nurse at 705-721-7520.

Keep in mind, the only way to completely prevent pregnancy or a STBBI is to abstain from sexual contact all together.
