Who should use Canada's Food Guide?

Eating Well with Canada’s Food Guide is for use by all Canadians age 2 and up. The recommended healthy eating pattern is based on a lifestyle that is fairly inactive. Those people who are very active and need more food should choose extra servings from the four food groups to meet their energy needs.

Canada’s Food Guide may not be appropriate for those individuals that have been diagnosed with illnesses or chronic diseases that require specific diet modifications.
