Food and Nutrition

Can a Health Professional come to the classroom?

Public Health Dietitians, Public Health Nurses, and Public Health Promoters, are not available to come into the classroom to teach curriculum lessons to students. Copies of Canada's Food Guide and other resources are available from the health unit for school staff to use to incorporate the messages into classroom teaching. Click to learn about programs and resources available to teachers and schools.

For information on curriculum-matched resources and programs and materials that support healthy eating education, contact Health Connection or call (705) 721-7520 or 1-800-721-7520.
