TB Reporting and Ordering Medication

  • All active and latent cases of Tuberculosis (TB) are reportable to the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU)
  • Medications used to treat TB can be accessed free of charge at designated pharmacies
  • SMDHU TB nurses assist in arranging the delivery of TB medication once a reporting form and prescription are received via fax at 705-733-7738.

This service is available Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. If you have any questions, or suspect active TB, a TB nurse can be reached by calling 705-721-7520/1-877-721-7520 ext. 8809. 
If outside of regular business hours, please call the ID on-call service for help at 1-888-225-7851.
