Healthy Sexuality Resources for Elementary Educators

Healthy Sexuality involves making wise and informed choices to avoid taking unnecessary chances. It means taking responsibility for reproductive health and feeling comfortable with one’s sexual identity. Students need every opportunity to learn sexual health information that is accurate and inclusive to assist them in making informed decisions.

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit Sexual Health Program is currently reviewing the new the Ontario Curriculum, Grades 1-8, Health and Physical Education 2019. Curriculum supports for educators that align with the Healthy Living Strand will be available soon.
