ON THE MOVE

Simcoe Muskoka On the Move Advisory Committee

The regional On the Move Advisory Committee coordinates and supports active school travel activities in school communities across Simcoe Muskoka through regional meetings with municipalities, school boards and the health unit. Meetings occur five times a year to address barriers to implementation and to seek out opportunities to bring forward policies that support safer and more active routes to schools in our region. School level committees, school boards, or municipal representatives can bring issues, requests, and success stories forward to the committee to help develop On the Move initiatives across Simcoe and Muskoka.

The committee was formed in May 2019 and operates according to a partnership Terms of Reference.
