We can tackle multiple challenges at once, save time, and resources, while providing many benefits to health, the environment, and the economy.

Local climate change and health information can inform effective strategies to address climate risks and build resilience in Simcoe Muskoka.

Climate Change and Health Vulnerability and Adaptation Assessment, Series Two (CCHVAA-S2)

Climate Change and Health Vulnerability and Adaptation Assessments help us understand local climate health risks and how to respond. It supports planning, action, and teamwork to protect health, reduce risks, and build resilience. This assessment is being done in phases. The first part, the Primer (coming soon), introduces key ideas, local climate projects, and factors affecting vulnerability and resilience. Future Themed Assessments will look at health risks of specific climate hazards in Simcoe Muskoka, like extreme heat, vector-borne disease, and poor air quality. The technical reports are supported by other knowledge translation resources.
