Healthy Smiles Ontario – Enrolment Information for Dental Providers

Public funded insurance programs (provincial and federal):

Healthy Smiles Ontario (for children ages 0-17)
Ontario Works (for adults and youth aged 16 and older)
Ontario Disability Support Program (for adults)
Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program (for seniors aged 65 and older)
Non-Insured Health Benefits (for First Nations and Inuit – all ages)
Interim Federal Health Program (for refugees, in Canada protected persons and certain other groups – all ages)
Canadian Dental Care Plan (eligibility expanding in phases until all age groups become eligible in 2025)

Take Action on Oral Health

Oral health is integral to good overall health yet is not part of our universal health care system. Many people without dental coverage cannot afford care and need to visit emergency rooms and primary care providers to alleviate oral health problems. Health providers interested in advocating for clients and communities to reduce oral health disparities can access information on current Ontario oral health advocacy campaigns, information on financial assistance programs and oral health reports and resources through these links.
