Healthy Eating

Healthy Eating

A healthy lifestyle includes eating well, being active, being sun safe and going for regular cancer screening.  Your health is also shaped by the places you live, work, learn and play and the policies that impact your daily life.

Eating a healthy diet is an important way to stay healthy and reduce your risk of chronic diseases. Being involved in your community and speaking out for changes that will make your community a healthy place to live can also make a difference in your health and the overall health of your community.

Did you know that the most Canadians do not eat enough vegetables and fruit?  Are you one of the many Canadians who eats almost a quarter of your energy from the ‘others’ food group?  Learn about healthy eating for you and your family by following the links on this page.
