There are 14 members on the Board of Health. Four are representatives from the County of Simcoe, two are from the District of Muskoka, two from the City of Barrie, one from the City of Orillia and up to five citizens are appointed by the Lieutenant Governor-in-Council, through the Provincial Appointments Secretariat.
The provincial appointments are made through a public consultation process outlined in the provincial website at www.pas.gov.on.ca.
Board meetings are public and meetings alternate between Muskoka and Simcoe County.
