Health units are required by law to have up to date records of all school aged children in their area. We need the help of parents to get accurate information. Health Care Providers do not contact the health unit regarding immunizations they provide.

Share your child’s immunization record, or new vaccines received, with the health unit on-line or by fax.

During the past 50 years, vaccines have increased life expectancy by protecting against some very serious diseases. Immunization protects people of all ages from harmful diseases that once devastated our communities, our country and our world.

Protect yourself and your family by following the recommended immunization schedule. Vaccines are safe and effective. The risk of side effects from any vaccine is much less than that of the disease it is protecting against. Understanding the facts about immunization will help you make an informed choice about protecting yourself and your family.
