Drugs And Pregnancy

It is important to talk to the doctor, midwife, nurse practitioner or pharmacist before taking any drug during pregnancy. This includes a prescription drug, over-the-counter drug, herbal preparation, supplement, recreational drug or street drug.

Some drugs can easily go across the placenta to the baby. Some drugs can affect the blood flow to the baby.
