Counselling Supports to Help Your Patients Quit Smoking

Quitting smoking takes practice and support but everyone can do it. It's the single best thing your patients can do to improve their overall health and well-being.

  • The Health Unit also offers free STOP Smoking Workshops in partnership with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) across the region. The three-hour workshop includes a free supply of nicotine replacement therapy such as the patch or gum. Check for upcoming workshops.
  • Patients needing help trying to break their tobacco addiction can contact Your Health Connection for resources and supports.

Health Connection is staffed by public health nurses and is available 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday by calling (705) 721-7520 or 1-877-721-7520.
