Secondary School Immunization

Secondary School Immunization Clinics

We mailed letters home (January 2023) to notify you if your child’s record on file with us is not up to date, and if not, what immunizations are missing. During the pandemic, we know that many secondary school students were unable to receive their routine and required immunizations. To help your child get caught up, we are partnering with local school boards to offer school immunization clinics at secondary schools in Simcoe Muskoka in 2023.

There are options for students to get caught-up on missed immunizations:

To book an appointment at one of our health unit office clinics, click here, or call Health Connection at 1-877-721-7520 (toll free) or 1-705-721-7520, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Did you know that all students in Simcoe Muskoka must have an up-to-date immunization record with the health unit as per the standards of the Immunization of School Pupils Act (ISPA)? Please note that in Ontario health care providers do not automatically report immunizations to their local public health unit. Reporting and reviewing immunizations is easy and online

Need to review your child's immunizations? Use any of the following ways:

1. Check their yellow immunization card.

2. Call your doctor or primary care provider.

3. View their immunization record online
