School Bus Drivers

The information on this page is meant to provide school bus drivers in Simcoe Muskoka with information and resources to help keep yourself and the students you serve, safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic. This information is based on the direction of both the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education, and will be continually updated to reflect changes in provincial direction and our local context. We all have a role to play in stopping the spread of COVID-19 in schools.

Bus drivers and those responsible for student transportation must:

If you do not pass daily screening, or new or worsening symptoms of COVID-19 develop during the school day, you must isolate (stay home) and follow the advice listed on the screening tool. You are also responsible for informing your employer of your absence due to illness.
