STOP smoking workshops include free NRT to support quitting

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, in partnership with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, is hosting STOP Smoking workshops in the Barrie area February 27 and 28.

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, in partnership with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, is hosting STOP Smoking workshops in the Barrie area February 27 and 28.

The three-hour workshops include a free five-week supply of nicotine patches and counseling to help quitters succeed.

Workshops to take place:

Monday, Feb. 27 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.mor 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on
Tuesday, Feb. 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  

Pre-registration is required and participants will be asked some basic information about their smoking behaviour before being accepted for the workshop. Enrolment is limited to 50 people at each workshop. For more information and to register, call Your Health Connection at 705-721-7520 or 1-877-721-7520 weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
