Barrie Colts, health unit host tobacco-free sports night

Jan 16, 2012
This Thursday, January 19, is tobacco-free sports night at the Barrie Molson Centre when the Barrie Colts take on the Saginaw Spirit.

This is National Non-Smoking Week

This Thursday, January 19, is tobacco-free sports night at the Barrie Molson Centre when the Barrie Colts take on the Saginaw Spirit. As well as free giveaways for fans at the door, there will be displays that include a set of lungs showing the damage caused by tobacco use, information about chew and dip and support to make your team a tobacco-free team. It’s all part of the Barrie Colts’ support for tobacco-free sport, and their partnership with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit to encourage kids, parents and coaches to play, live, be tobacco free. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at the Barrie Molson Centre.
