Jul 15, 2019
Are you a parent to be, looking for a local prenatal class?

SIMCOE MUSKOKA – Are you a parent to be, looking for a local prenatal class? The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit offers free prenatal classes in-person, as well as online for those who prefer to take classes at a time when it’s more convenient for them.

Both in-person and online classes include information on labour and birth, comfort measures, medical procedures, newborns, after the baby comes, breastfeeding and more. In-person prenatal classes offer an opportunity to meet other pregnant people and families, talk about pregnancy, birth, and newborns and get answers to questions and concerns from a public health nurse. These classes occur in in Barrie, Bracebridge, Bradford, Collingwood, Cookstown, Huntsville, Midland and Orillia.

Online prenatal classes provide an opportunity to choose the information of interest to you, to learn at your own pace and to learn when and where you are most comfortable.

You can register for in-person or online prenatal classes by calling Health Connection at 705-721-7520 or 1-877-721-7520 Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can also register for an online prenatal class at www.smdhu.org/prenatalclass.
