What is THINK CLEAR?
THINK CLEAR is a Ministry of Health initiative, under the umbrella of the FOCUS Community Projects, in partnership with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit. The work of the project is overseen by a Steering Committee, comprising service providers and concerned community members.
THINK CLEAR was founded in 1998 and is currently funded through March 31, 2008.
Our Mission
We exist to prevent injury and reduce harm as it relates to alcohol and other drug use, and to raise awareness of alcohol as a risk factor in chronic disease prevention.
Our work in the community is carried out by
- Forming partnerships with community groups who share our mandate
- Supporting existing programs and initiatives with financial and human resources
- Developing and distributing educational and awareness-raising materials
- Mobilizing communities to take action on issues related to drug and alcohol policy
