If you are a retailer of tobacco or vapour products, here is a guide that can serve as a quick reference to ensure your business is meeting the requirements set out in the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017. It is not intended to be considered as legal advice. A tobacco enforcement officer is available to assist with direction and inspection services: please contact Health Connection (see information below).

ATTENTION:  Are you a specialty vape shop or tobacconist?

As per the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017 you are required to register your specialty vape shop or tobacconist business with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit. For information and help to register, contact Health Connection, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
