Family, Friends and Supports

Take time for friends! Research tells us that those who are involved in activities outside the home, have companionship and are physically active have less falls and suffer fewer serious injuries.

Here are a few examples of how you can get more involved in your community. Contact your local parks and recreation for details.

  • Participate in a walking group
  • Join a Tai Chi, Yoga or other activity program
  • Become a member of a seniors centre or club
  • Volunteer
