Adult Immunizations

Immunizations are not just for children.  Adults also need to keep up to date with recommended immunizations. When adult immunizations are not up to date, they are at risk for disease and passing infections on to others.

In general adults need a tetanus and diphtheria booster every ten years and flu shot every year.  Other vaccines may be recommended for you depending on your health, occupation, lifestyle, immunity to certain diseases, and what vaccines you had as a child.

It is easy to forget what vaccines you have had in the past.  Keeping a record of immunizations you have received is important.  For a lifetime of protection, speak to your health care provider or call health connection, about what immunizations you need.
