The Breastfeeding Place (offered in Simcoe County) and Breastfeeding & More (offered in The District of Muskoka):
- weekly drop-in programs for new families that provide an opportunity for both peer and professional support in an informal setting.
These programs offer new mothers:
- A welcoming place to breastfeed
- A chance to talk about breastfeeding, infant and child health, developmental stages, and parenting
- An opportunity to ask questions and receive support from a public health nurse
- Mom-to-mom support in a friendly group atmosphere
