Improving health by design - a call for healthy communities

The built environment affects our health

The Medical Officers of Health for Toronto, Peel, Hamilton and Simcoe Muskoka have created a joint report on health impacts of community design and public transportation services.

The report makes key recommendations for improving municipal planning and transportation systems in ways that will be beneficial to the public's health.
