Where To Get Help

  • To get help for you or someone you care about, call 1-866-531-2600 or go to ConnexOntario for more information. ConnexOntario assists individuals with access to addiction, mental health, and problem gambling services. Many services are free and an agent is available 24/7. 
  • Motherisk - The Alcohol and Substance Use Helpline - 1-877-327-4636 offers information and counseling to pregnant and breastfeeding women, their families, and health care providers. Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • RAAM clinics:

    RAAM clinics are drop-in clinics for people looking for help with their substance use such as alcohol, cannabis, cocaine or opioids. RAAM clinics are based out of the following locations in Simcoe Muskoka:

    Alliston – 200 Fletcher Crescent (located in the Mary McGill Community Mental Health Centre)

    Barrie – 70 Wellington Street West, Lower Level (located in the Addiction Services building)

    Midland – 845 King Street (located in Chigamik Community Health Centre)

    Orillia – 169 Front Street (located in the Common Roof building)

  • Find out if your workplace offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Your EAP may assist in addressing issues that affect your work or personal life including substance use. 

These programs are becoming increasingly more common in today's worksites.

EAP services are often free to the employee or the household member and confidentiality is strictly maintained in accordance with privacy laws and professional ethical standards.
