Take Action (OPHEA)
A comprehensive, classroom-based program designed to support educators and engage school communities in teaching safety awareness regarding medicines and harmful substances and provides information about tobacco, alcohol and substance use through the integration of health and physical education expectations. Curriculum Guides for Ontario (CAMH)
Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) developed lesson plans in English and French that meet the expectations of the substance use and abuse component of the new Grade 1-10 Ontario Health and Physical Education Curriculum and the mental health component of Grade 11-12 curriculum.
Parent Action on Drugs (PAD)
Interactive school-based programming aimed directly at youth. Peer-led programs that involve older teens helping younger teens and providing information to lower the risks associated with teenage partying. PAD's comprehensive workshops and training opportunities benefit teachers, health professionals and other front-line community workers.
