If you got a notice of suspension in the mail

Updating your child's immunization records is easy

The health unit has been reviewing student immunization records since September. Unfortunately, despite efforts to collect the outstanding required information from parents, there are students who are facing suspension in the coming weeks.  

If a suspension notice came in your mail, it’s for one of three reasons.

  1. Your child’s immunizations are not up to date.
  2. You have not let the health unit know about your child’s latest vaccines.
  3. You have not filed the appropriate documentation with the health unit if your child is not immunized.

You need to connect with the health unit to provide us with updated immunization information about your child. The health unit must keep this information under the Immunization of School Pupils Act.

If your child needs an immunization, you can schedule an appointment with your health care provider or contact the health unit at 705-721-7520 or 1-877-721-7520 ext 8807 prior to the suspension date.
