Orillia consults the public on water fluoridation

Fluoridation: What's in it for you?

The City of Orillia is seeking public input into a proposal to begin fluoridation of the City’s municipal water supply. Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit was invited to provide information on the public health benefits of fluoridation and to take part in developing the public consultation process.

Public consultation dates:

1. Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012 – Information gathering session
6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Council Chamber, First Floor, City Centre Building,
50 Andrew Street South, Orillia

Additional comments, questions, and concerns were accepted following the public forum until Friday, March 30, 2012. For more information about the public consultation process, visit the City’s website.
