The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is offering grants to secondary schools, alternative schools, and learning centres in Simcoe Muskoka interested in engaging youth to design and implement health promotion initiatives for their school communities. The grants must focus on tobacco use/control and one of: physical activity, healthy eating, risky driving (injury prevention), substance/alcohol misuse or mental health promotion. The deadline to complete your Intent to Participate form is Monday Oct. 31. Then check back for supports and ideas for your student groups throughout the school year.
