Talking About Mental Illness (TAMI) - An anti-stigma program for secondary schools, delivered on-site through a community partnership of service providers, volunteers, and others. The program manual (published by the Canadian Association of Mental Health) can be downloaded free of charge.
Truth & Consequences (T & C):
Grade 9 Drug and Alcohol Awareness Conference
Interactive and innovative, T & C addresses the substance use and abuse expectations of the Grade 9 Healthy Living strand. The step-by-step planning guide takes organizers through planning, implementing and evaluating the program. Cost to deliver is minimal. Race Against Drugs
The RACE Against Drugs is a community based drug and alcohol awareness program offered to Grade 5 students across Simcoe-Muskoka. The RACE (Respect, Action, Courage, and Excellence) has been designed to deliberately reflect the character values and curriculum taught within the Simcoe County and District of Muskoka school boards. the primary objective of this drug education initiative is to utilize the sport of auto racing to capture the attention of young people and communicate with them as they move through each pit stop to learn key messages about the importance of a drug and alcohol free lifestyle

The Phakz - Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit's teen-friendly website with links and information on drugs and alcohol, tobacco, sexual health, and healthy eating.
Parent Action on Drugs - A registered charity that grew out of parents' concerns of the growing threat that alcohol and other drugs post for their school-aged children. Focus is on prevention, education and support.
Virtual Party - Provides youth with an opportunity to learn about drugs and alcohol and to make healthy choices concerning their use. The site features four characters in four party situations.
