The Orillia office of the Simcoe Muskoka District Health unit will be closed on Friday, September 30, as materials and furniture are moved to the new location at The Common Roof.
The new office is located at 169 Front Street South, at the intersection with Queen Street.
While the office is closed to the public, most services will still be available by telephone, through the Your Health Connection service at 705-721-7520 or 1-877-721-7520 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Some health unit work in the field will continue, although not all services will be fully operational during that day.
Members of the public who may want to connect directly with individuals in the Orillia office will be able to leave voice messages on their extensions. However responses may not be possible until the following week when the new office will be open for business.
Some staff members may still be getting settled in their new location, so there may be some slight delays in connecting. The health unit thanks members of the public for their patience as the move takes place.
Appointments and all health unit services will resume on Monday, October 3 in the new 169 Front Street South location.
The Common Roof is conveniently situated on the South Route of the Orillia Transit service, with stops every 30 minutes at the King Street and Gill Street bus stops, just a short distance from the building’s front door.
