Workplaces and organizations looking for resources on handwashing and preventing H1N1 flu virus can find a variety of materials available for order and download on the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit website.
“With a second round of H1N1 expected, personal protection measures, like handwashing, are more important than ever,” said Bill Mindell, director of clinical service for the health unit. “The resources on handwashing on the health unit website are a one-stop shop for those partners who want to reinforce the message in their own setting.”
Materials include a handwashing decal, tip sheet and poster available for order from the health unit as well as a variety of resources for download and print. Materials are available in both English and French. The messages focus on infection prevention including handwashing, staying home when sick, covering up coughs and sneezes, as well as hand sanitizing and flu shots.
