SIMCOE MUSKOKA – Money’s getting tight these days, and with Christmas looming, we’re all starting to dig around our pockets for spare change.
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has a sure-fire way to find money for some residents of the area: quit smoking. For those thinking about this, there are still openings left in the remaining workshops planned by the health unit. The workshops offer good tips and five weeks’ supply of The Patch, or nicotine inhalers, free of charge.
On Wednesday, Dec. 3, workshops will be held in Barrie from 6 to 9 p.m. and in Bradford from noon to 3 p.m.
On Thursday, Dec. 4, the final workshop will be held in Collingwood from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Call Your Health Connection to register and see if you are eligible, at 721-7520 or 1-877-721-7520. This could be the helping hand you need to quit for good.
