Georgian College campuses in Orillia and Barrie will be holding their own influenza vaccine clinics, available for students, staff and the general public.
The clinics are being held as drop-ins with no appointment necessary. Dates are as follows.
Tuesday, Nov. 8, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Barrie campus, E Bldg., Room 200 (Oak Room)
Thursday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Barrie campus, K Bldg., Room K203
Thursday, Nov. 17, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Barrie campus, M Bldg. (New Health Sciences Building), Room 113
Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Orillia campus, Upper Cafeteria
Public flu vaccine clinics run by the health unit are being held Wednesdays and Saturdays during the month of November at locations throughout Simcoe and Muskoka. These clinics are available by appointment through a new online booking system. Look for the flu shot button at www.simcoemuskokahealth.org.
Clinic appointments can also be booked by phone at 705-721-7520 or 1-877-721-7520 weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Local health care providers have already been issued vaccine and can also provide patients with the vaccine.
Immunization is safe and is the most effective means of preventing the flu for you and your family.
