Free Quit Smoking Workshop in February

If you are ready to try to quit smoking, the health unit is ready to help with a free STOP workshop that includes a free supply of nicotine patches to help you succeed.

SOUTH SIMCOE - If you are ready to try to quit smoking, the health unit is ready to help with a free STOP workshop that includes a free supply of nicotine patches to help you succeed. During the three-hour workshop participants will learn how to properly use the nicotine patches, where to find additional counselling and supports as well as tips to help you deal with cravings.  

Pre-registration is required for the workshop taking place Tuesday, Feb. 24 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Cookstown by calling the health unit’s Health Connection line at 1-877-721-7520  or 705-721-7520. 

And remember if you set a quit date no later than Feb. 28 you can enter the Driven to Quit Challenge for a chance to drive away a quitter and winner in either a brand new Nissan Sentra, Toyota Corolla or Scion tC. More information is available at www.driventoquit.ca.
