Free STOP smoking workshop – your first step to becoming a quitter

The New Year is here and it’s a great time to make a quit smoking attempt. The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is ready to help with a free, three–hour workshop in Huntsville and Gravenhurst to get you started.

MUSKOKA –The New Year is here and it’s a great time to make a quit smoking attempt. The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is ready to help with a free, three–hour workshop in Huntsville and Gravenhurst to get you started.

The workshop includes a free supply of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) in the form of the patch. Public health nurses will provide information on the proper use of the NRT as well as counselling and tips to support your quit attempt.

The Huntsville workshop takes place Tuesday Jan. 20 from 1 to 4 p.m.. The Gravenhurst workshop is Thursday Jan. 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m..  Pre-registration is required to attend a workshop by calling Health Connection at 1-877-721-7520. The exact location of the workshops will be supplied upon registration.
