Collingwood health unit office reopens

Aug 29, 2014
The Pretty River Parkway office of the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is now reopened to the public.

The Pretty River Parkway office of the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is now reopened to the public.

Renovations that have taken place over the last two weeks have been proceeding as scheduled, and many services have been restored.

However, more work continues inside the building, and some services are still affected.

  • The sexual health clinic will continue to operate at 186 Erie Street, in the Georgian Bay Family Health Team. It will stay there until about Oct. 15, with the clinic and counselling appointments on Wednesdays. Clients can continue to contact the health unit to book their appointments.
  • Immunization clinics, scheduled for Aug. 27 and Sept. 24, will be held at 186 Erie Street, in the Georgian Bay Family Health Team.
  • Vaccine supply for health care professionals will resume with the usual pick up from the Collingwood office on Friday, Sept. 5.
  • Proton exams cannot be written at the Collingwood office until renovations are complete. Food service workers in Collingwood can make arrangements to write the exam at one of the health unit's other offices.

The health unit thanks the public for their patience while the office was closed.
