BARRIE - Drop in to Barrie City Hall on Monday by bicycle, and you’ll be served up a pancake breakfast, complete with fruit, granola, juice and yogurt.

It’s the kickoff event for Barrie’s Bike Week. Local residents are invited to ride to work or school through the week—and the weather forecast looks ideal for some enjoyable rides.

Monday morning’s event starts at 8 a.m. and runs to 9:30 a.m. Guest speakers, a flag-raising and some free handouts are also on the schedule.

Bike Week is organized in partnership with the City of Barrie, Barrie/Simcoe Cycling Club, Active Transportation Barrie, Cravings Fine Food Market and Catering, the Farmhouse and PIE Wood Fire Pizza Joint and the health unit.

For more details about the event, visit www.simcoecycling.ca.
