April workshop can help you be smoke free this summer

If you are ready to quit smoking, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit wants to help. The health unit is offering a new series of three-hour STOP workshops that provide participants with a free supply of nicotine replacement patches. The patches help to reduce cravings in the first few weeks as you work to become smoke free.

The workshops are open to adults 19 and older. Pre-registration is required by calling Your Health Connection phone line at 705-721-7520 or 1-877-721-7520, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The exact location of the workshop will be provided at time of registration.  

 

Huntsville                                          Wed. April 17            1 p.m. – 4 p.m.  

Bracebridge                                   Mon. April 22           1 p.m. – 4 p.m. 

Midland                                           Wed. April 24          12 p.m. – 3 p.m. 

Bradford West Gwillimbury               Thurs. April 25            9:30 a.m. –12:30 p.m.  

Stayner                                            Mon. April 29            6 p.m. – 9 p.m.                                   


The STOP study is being offered in partnership with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, and is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care as part of its Smoke-Free Ontario Strategy.
