Health Unit hosts quit smoking workshops offering free NRT

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, in partnership with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, is hosting a three-hour workshop in Orillia on Wednesday, March 28 from 9:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. During the workshop you will get tips on quitting and staying quit, support to reduce cravings and access to a public health nurse who can answer your quitting questions.

ORILLIAIf you’ve tried to quit smoking and are finding it tough to do on your own, a free STOP smoking workshop that includes a supply of the nicotine patch and support may be the answer.

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, in partnership with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, is hosting a three-hour workshop in Orillia on Wednesday, March 28 from  9:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. During the workshop you will get tips on quitting and staying quit, support to reduce cravings and access to a public health nurse who can answer your quitting questions.

A similar workshop is being held in Midland on Tuesday, March 27 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and in Bracebridge on Wednesday, March 28 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

 

Pre-registration is required and participants will be asked some basic information about their smoking behavior before being accepted for the workshop.
