The following types of materials are available on this web portal to support acute care facilities as it relates to public health issues

Ebola virus disease is a severe disease that causes haemorrhagic fever. The current outbreak of Ebola is in West Africa.  There have not been any cases of Ebola in Canada and the risk to Ontarians remains low.

Public Health Ontario is working with the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, the Public Health Agency of Canada, and other partners on clinical and public health preparedness for potential importations of Ebola, including monitoring and surveillance, support for laboratory testing and guidelines and resources for infection prevention and control
