The Healthy Babies Healthy Children (HBHC) program helps children get a healthy start in life.

HBHC is a voluntary program that provides supports and services during pregnancy and to families with children from birth to school entry.

The HBHC program offers universal screening opportunities and home visiting services for families who may benefit from additional support.  Public health nurses and family home visitors work together to provide:

  • Information, education and resources
  • Early identification and support for healthy child growth and development
  • Support for positive parenting and parent-child relationships
  • Recommendations and referrals to community resources

*Third-party referrals are also accepted with client consent.

For more information or to register for HBHC, call Health Connection Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at 705-721-7520 or 1-877-721-7520. Or, send an email to Health Connection using our online form. We will be sure it reaches the right person.
