Food Handler Training

There are several advantages of becoming a certified food handler. For instance, many food premise operators will hire a certified food handler over someone who is not. Managers in the food industry can use Proton, a recognized food handlers certification program, to monitor the areas of food safety. The health unit offers 3 types of training methods; self study (Proton); online (In Good Hands) and a one-day, inspector-facilitated certification course
