Sexual Health Clinics

The health unit operates sexual health clinic services in the following locations: Barrie, Midland, Orillia, Collingwood, Gravenhurst and Huntsville. Public health nurses offer confidential counselling and information about:

  • Birth control including the Emergency Contraceptive Pill
  • Pregnancy counseling
  • Sexually transmitted Infections (STIs) - testing and treatment
  • HIV testing including anonymous testing
  • Sexuality and relationship support and referrals.

Clinic services are by appointment only (except for drop-in clinics). All information is confidential.

Can I refer students to the clinic?

Yes, you can refer all students and as long as they can understand the services and are able to provide informed consent they are welcome to attend. Parents do not need to be notified and students do not need to have a health card.
