Oct 31, 2014
Public flu clinics kick off this Saturday, Nov. 1 in three locations in Simcoe and Muskoka. They will be continuing on Wednesdays and Saturdays until November 26.

SIMCOE MUSKOKA – Public flu clinics kick off this Saturday, Nov. 1 in three locations in Simcoe and Muskoka. They will be continuing on Wednesdays and Saturdays until November 26.

To avoid lineups people can make appointments through the online booking system on the health unit’s website at www.simcoemuskokahealth.org.

The health unit’s clinics are available to everyone, including families with children under the age of 5. And there are now more than 100 pharmacies offering their own flu clinics in the region, making it even easier to get the flu shot.

Now is the time to get the flu shot, since it takes two weeks for immunity to build up, and influenza season can start at any time.

Make sure the whole family is vaccinated. It will keep everyone protected, including, school friends, neighbours, the elderly and the people you work with.

For more information on the flu shot, call Health Connection at 705-721-7520 or 1-877-721-7520 weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
